2019 Macoby Run Fall Cornhole Tournament Results

A big thank you goes out to everybody who participated in Macoby Run’s 1st Fall Cornhole Tournament on Saturday, November 2nd! We had 40 teams participate, and believe that an outstanding time was had by all who attended! The team of Dan Loose and Brandon Frickmann took home the win, defeating the 2nd Place team of Kevin Heckman and Doug Perry by a score of 21-11. Evan Wickard and Devon Klipp took home the 3rd Place prize, taking down Don Thomas and Robby Bunton in the 3rd Place game. Our next cornhole tournament is tentatively scheduled for the end of March 2020 (most likely Saturday 3/28), so start practicing!!!

1st Annual 3 Clubs & a Putter 4-Person Scramble Results

There were 4 skins won during the event, and if no skins had been won, we were going to donate the skins money to the victims of the Lumber Street flooding. The group captained by Brian Stahley graciously donated $40 to the victims, and Macoby Run will be adding $60 to that for a $100 donation! We hope this helps those affected by the flooding, every little bit counts!

28th Annual Floyd Open Results

2017 Shamrock Shootout Results

Thank you to everyone who braved the conditions to participate in this year’s Shamrock Shootout! It was chilly, but the rain held off and Pearl’s Pavilion was nice and toasty for your post-round festivities, so we hope everyone had a wonderful time! We also had an exciting group play with us yesterday, spanning FOUR generations! Our weekend starter, Os Wentling, is soon to be a great-grandfather, and while Os helped us set up for the outing (and then enjoyed his day alone at home!) his wife Janet, their daughter Wanda Reed, and her pregnant daughter Kristin Ott all played together this year. We have a good feeling that this is the first group spanning four generations in the Shamrock Shootout’s 18 seasons! Club Championship Results

We would like to thank our members who participated in this year’s Macoby Run Club Championship! Our Men’s Champion for the 2nd year in a row is Jon Klass, who shot 82-78-160 for the 2-day event, just edging out our 2nd place finisher, David Ott, who shot 80-81-161. Our 2015 Senior Champion is Michael Suder, who after the two rounds was tied with Dave Derstine. Suder took the win on the 1st handicap hole for Sunday’s round, a birdie on Hole #3. Suder shot 85-78-163, while Derstine played 81-82-163. Congratulations to Jon and Michael!

Next year, in addition to course members, we will also be opening up the Club Championship to permanent tee time holders and league members, in an effort to enhance the competition. It could result in one of our biggest Championships yet, and we are very much looking forward to it!
